i can't help feeling i'm too young to be as cynical as i am and wonder why on earth he would have come out and said this. i can understand it a bit more with de la hoya, as people get a lot hotter under the collar in the states about reports of cocaine use and it might hurt his business but nobody really gave that much of a shit when hatton got caught. had he fought again his fans would still have been there and i don't think it hurts his promotional company either.

i can't understand how things like this are in the public interest.
