Akiyama/Wand is scripted straight out of Pride. I love it. The UFC should have saved this fight for a future Japan card -- it would be a sell-out over there.

Im picking Akiyama. Sorry guys, Wandy really looks average these days, it looks like they are finally moving him out of the top ranks and into the middle of the pack. If Dana White was beefing with Silva, Dana would be quick to point out that Wanderlei has not won a relevant fight since 2005 when he beat Ricardo Arona. Maybe Fujita in the openweight in 2006.

No, Keith Jardine is not a huge win since he's pretty much the perfect opponent for somebody like Wandy. Plus he kind of sucks. It was relevant because he needed it but it does not really look impressive in the grand scheme of things.

I'll be rooting for the Axe Murderer though.

I am not convinced Wandi should be dropping down to middleweight at this stage in his career.
