Madden '12

Anybody? Probably picking this up today. I have yet to buy or even play a Madden on these new wave of consoles. Probably haven't bought one since like '07 or '08

Yeah I think 07 sounds like the last time I bought Madden.

I bought CoD in 07, 08, 09, and O'10 and I knew Activision was screwing me over with basically the same $120 game over and over again. No mas!

I've heard this is actually a really improved game this year and the Franchise mode is awesome. And its been so long since I've had one that I'm sure its night and day from what I remember at this point

i thought madden 11 was the best one i'd played for a while. if you can get over the user fumbles and CPU tackle breaking it plays really well.

i'm not really feeling madden 12 though. the pre season cut days are a good feature, but i'm not too impressed with the menus, which are cumbersome and tedious, you can't turn off the accelerated clock run off and there's no 'myskill' setting, so it's going to be a grind pissing about with the sliders for weeks in order to get a decent game because as ever, all pro is far too easy and all madden just cheats the shit out of you and makes the game more or less unplayable.

It runs smoother than all the other ones the graphics are pretty good and the rosters online match up in your franchise which is pretty cool.

Only problem is that the LB'S can jump 50 feet in the air and swat the ball down.

That's one of my biggest problems with maddens and ncaa, there seems to be no way to throw a pass over a defenders head cause he'll jump like jordan into the air and either swat the ball or pic it. I just want to be able to put some arch on the ball damnit but in these games you can either throw the crappest lob you've ever seen or a bullet on a fly route. Theres no in between it's stupid. But I still like the game overall

I mean how often do you see that in a game? Once in a blue moon or the QB has no arm. I think it was Madden 07 with the QB vision? That was when I would wreck fools on the passing game.

This. As well as the fact that it is completely impossible to block a kick in NCAA...just got Madden 11 so not sure about it yet.
