Has anyone heard of, or does anyone believe what is supposedly predicted for this date?

For those of whom that havent heard of it, basically wwwwwaaaaaayyyyy back in the day, Nostradomus, prophesized that on this date that some big apocalypse would overcome the earth.

I completely forgot about this whole thing until watching the end of a show on the history channel just a bit ago.

What are other people's opinion on this?

I believe it's also the same date that the Mayan calendar ends.

Hopefully people are too scared to go out and I can get some last minute Christmas shopping done

Any of you guys ever watch Penn & Tellers Bullshit? They did an episode about this, pretty funny. Oh yeah, its on Showtime.

I do not believe an apocalypse will ever happen. The only thing that will end human life on this planet will be humans themselves IMO.

im gonna be pissed now if nothing happens. I want the world to come to an apocalyptic ending where the world is destroyed, but not everyone dies. About 500,000 people will survive (including myself and some of you guys) scattered thgroughout the world in different shelters and underground caves, and we will emerge after all the wars and violence and destruction is over, rebuild the earth and civilization, after we discover a new alien drug introduced by the visitors from outer space that gives us eternal life, and an addiction to catfood.

anything that leads to humanities end is fine by me. evolution really fucked up on that one.

I've read up on an watched many shows about Nostradamus predictions and also the same for the Mayan prophecy n it's all creepy to me LOL...I got to into it

Have any of you heard that in 2012 the Earth will go through a black hole and it will reverse the axis of the Earth and scientist aren't exactly sure what will happen. Saw something about it on the History channel. Out of all the "theories" this one supposedly has the most facts behind it.

ive heard all sorts of things about the year 2012...im not worried about it however. If the world ends, I die...if it doesnt YIPEEE i continue on with my life in a country that is in a most likely never-ending recession...awesome...

Now give or take the economy will improve slightly, but I do not believe it will ever go back to the same...ppl are gonna remain jobless in this country for a very very long time IMO

Barack Obama has done absolutely nothing as far as creating new jobs, at least not in the area that I live in. (I suppose that is for another discussion )

speaking of apocalypse i just bought Fallout 3. Anyone played this game?

Yes Oggy, I returned it the very next day, I thought it was absolute garbage.

everyone that I know that has played it .. has said it is one of the best games they have ever played.. however, you put a lot of work into the game, because a good portion of the game is leveling up your character..

its not really a game you just pick up and play a quick 30 minutes and not play it for awhile... (like madden) .. more of a game for a gamer.. and this could make some people not like it...

I just got a ps3 .. but I picked up Infamous instead of fallout and it is the shit.
