College Bowl Mania

I got screwed out of 27 points. I picked Troy and apparently somehow it unchecked itself. That is some BS.

I think it will be interesting to see when people start overtaking Josh, if they do at all. I know the earliest I will start catching up is 12/28 because thats when I get another high confidence game.

I never set my confidence, oh well, I still can't lose.

Well Josh has Louisville for 32 points and GDP has Southern Miss for 32 points. My points won't come until late, but so far I have won all my games.

This is my highest confidence game. Utah got smoked by the Irish! I think Boise will run it up on them. Only small fear is if the kicker is still mental. Before I saw the picks, I would've guessed myself and tim to be the highest 2. Now I see myself, OU, then Josh.

I only got to watch the first quarter before I had to leave. Boise deserved to be down by 2 TDs. I honestly didn't know if they would win when I left. I'm glad to get my 35 ptr out of the way.

I'm still undefeated so far, just have a low point total. I think I had Boise at about 29 though.

We are all sucking now. I would've put money on Hawai'i lol.

That Toledo/FIU game last night was awesome.

Thats the quintessential example of why I don't mind bowl games instead of playoffs. I would rather have playoffs but the BCS does a very good job (IMO) of matching the 2 best for the championship. So with bowls we not only crown a semi-legitimate champ but we see games between the 62nd and 63rd best teams that turn out to be great games. With a playoff system, these teams are not invited or are put into a slaughter game against a quality team.

My perfect scenario is leave the 35 bowl games but convert the Cotton and Capital One Citrus Bowls into playoff bowls with the BCS bowls. 8 less teams get invited and 2 of the non-championship BCS bowls would have to be moved earlier but I think it could work.

I have lost three games but they are only worth 6,9 and 2 points. So most of my points are still out there.

We will find out who has a chance at the end of Saturday. My guess is most people here will be eliminated.

I think there is way too many bowls as is. 6-6 does not make you bowl worthy. I also think that if that were the scenario there needs to be no conference restrictions. If a conference has 3 teams in the top 6 or 8, then those 3 all go.

WVU vs NC State is a big game for me in our group. If NC State wins, I think I am looking pretty but OU and Josh look good with a WVU win.

As for your comment Ziggy, I agree with the no conference restrictions. I think the top 8 BCS rankings go regardless of conference. I also think 62 teams instead of 70 mean that you would probably need 7 wins instead of 6.
