Anyone Else Remember This

shit may have been even 10 years ago but Time magazine had this awesome article on these 2 little kids in South America possibly? they were like 11 and 12, smoked cigars, there town got shelled by mortars and they were the only 2 survivors in their area.

People thought they were deity's and they made them generals of their guerrilla army. They led the army on succesful raids and stuff like that. They had these crazy pics of these little kids smoking cigars with automatic weapons. Pretty positive the little kid in Tropic Thunder was based off of them.

Anyone know what happened to them or who they were/are?

probably, they led some raid on some opposing faction and the kids led the charge, they set some of their people free , it was like the kids were lucky as hell.
