But I wonder if he's pushing just a bit too hard.

Yo it's starting to look like PR more than anything. I've read some truly disturbing stuff about Rebney.

He's pushing cause A) it makes sense and B) it helps their Org.

But yeah read Gil saying he wants the fights to and it's getting closer.

Maybe Coker doesn't want it, cause he doesn't need he Champ potentially losing to a guy from a smaller Org?

Coker gains little from this. The same reason the UFC wouldn't give Melendez a shot at Edgar.

Bellator and Alvarez are getting a lot of good coverage from this. Funny thing is some people agree with Dana for not cross promoting but bag Coker for not doing it.

Coker's main thing was willingness to Co-Pro, SF isn't the UFC. different stituations, the UFC will never want to or have to Co-Pro.

I agree to the extent that it's a risky fight because Eddie could beat Gil

As far as Frankie, I think he's proved he's a step above the rest, only a guy like Gray could takedown and LnP his way to a win, but even that fight Frankie had mad shit going on at the time with a MTV special and a wedding a day or two later, plus he's improved so much.

Melendez would beat Frankie imo. Eddie would probably as well. That is a moot point though, and just my opinion.

Not mine, I think Gil loses to at least 5 UFC LWs, Eddie would have a better chance, he went to train with Frankie for his fight against Huerta actually. Not sure how you go from dominating the best LW ever to losing to Gil but whatever.

BJ Penn trained 3 days a week for the fight he actually lost, and was flat and not himself in the one he should have won. I think Frankie is great don't get me wrong but he didn't beat Penn at his best. He just didn't. I know that is super contentious for Edgar fans who think that would nullify his championship but it is just the truth.

Seems weird, I'm a huge Penn fan, I don't understand why he wouldn't come into that fight as good as ever, remembering the fight, Frankie was frustrating him and you could see it after the 1st.

The "yes men" in his camp are to blame. I read this week he is ditching them all.

He's needed a real training camp and partners for a while.
