According to overseas reports, the camps of Giovanni Segura (25-1-1, 21KOs) and Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda (34-5, 27KOs) are interested in a 2011 clash. Dave Kaufman reports thats Segura, the WBA/WBO champion at junior flyweight, has some interest in moving up to the flyweight division, where Miranda is the WBO champion. Miranda's name has been mentioned in minor talks for the first quarter of 2011.
"Pingo" Miranda retained his title on October 16 with a two round destruction of Michael Arango in Monterrey, while Segura unified the titles in Puerto Rico by handing Ivan Calderon his first defeat, with an eight round knockout, in the month of August.
