I did a 7. It was decision city. No one could finish a fight. But not all of those decisions were boring at least.

Also I predict 1.75 million buys.

6.5

Overall it was a pretty average card. Sure Cain destroying Brock was exciting and Diego vs Thiago was thrilling at times, but the lack of entertainment in the other three fights and the four straight decisions bugged me.

It was a letdown. Diego and Thiago was unexpectedly exciting but the other main card bouts leading to the main event were flat

I gave it an 8, but Brock bloody getting the shit kicked out of him gives it a +2. Still good fights on the card.

If anyone expected an exciting Jake fight they were barking up the wrong tree.

what caught me off guard was Kamps inability to keep it standing and do damage in the third round

Those words came from Jake's mouth. I heard him on MMA LIVE on ESPN2 after the fights. I get it, I just didn't expect him to struggle with the cut. Not having done it before, not being in a camp like his were all the guys make cuts, not in a camp with guys with great cardio. Just didn't expect it.

Moving down is always tough, Jake probably added muscle mass for his middleweight fights.

I gave it a 8.5 before the fights... Very intriguing title fight, love Jake Shields, liked the Thiago-Diego matchup, hoped for Hamill to send Tito packing from the UFC and thought the undercard was solid with guys like McGee, Cote, Lawlor, and others...

I give it a 7 afterwards. Title fight was worth giving a "hell yeah" over but competitively speaking was a dud. Shields looked like shit and had zero energy after being a MW for 2 years. Diego getting back to form was almost the only thing that saved the main card outside of the title fight. Tito needs to leave the UFC and accept what he now is (Still a bit of a letdown since Hamill didn't finish him). Gonzaga should never be on a main card again if he's allowed to fight in the UFC. McGee choking Jensen out was awesome. Can we believe that Cote fought for a title just a couple of years ago and weren't people saying that Lawlor had no shot in this fight? Loved this fight... But Cote needs to go elsewhere now.

I think McGee got a little over looked this weekend. Jensen isn't elite or anything but still game. That fight started okay but each minute that went by it looked like Cort was getting better. He was really sizing up some good shots in the second. I thought he did good, a little better than I thought. Will be interesting to see how White and Silva treat this guy moving forward with his next opponent.

I gave it an 8 and guess that the PPV buys were 1.3-1.4 million. The fights were solid, I got to see 2 of the prelim fights that were not scheduled. Sure the Brock-Cain fight was exciting, from beginning to end, as was the Sanchez-Thiago fight. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Shields-Kampmann fight, because Shield's fights tend to be pretty boring. Tito vs Hamill played out as expected and because Knology fucked up, I missed the Schaub-GG fight.

Back injury's are funny, Jake hurt it early in camp but they linger and I'm sure that hurt his cutting weight.
