| The Mayan thing was 100% a joke/marketing from the beginning. The real 2012 stuff comes from dispensationalist Christians. | |

| I've always read "2012 is when the calender ends, but that speaks nothing to the end of the world, and those who claim that it does are purposefully misconstruing facts" Anyone who, like, actually read up on it never thought that was an end of the world prophecy. All dipstickery from the word go. What can be gleaned from this is some people in this thread never knew that though. Don't be mad at me cause yall were duped. The real 2012 believers are Christians. I've sat in like a dozen different living or dining rooms and had them preach this to my face. http://ezinearticles.com/?Dispensational-Delusions&id=3861741 | |

Completely agree that the Mayan calendar doesnt say "end of the world". It's like Nostradamus, it says what people think it says. As far as the Christians comment goes, what fucking awful parties and/or family functions are you attending??? | |

| The Mayan's I believe, believed (sounds weird back to back) that the World has ended and been reborn many times, 2012 was long thought to be another end of the World. As far as Christians, I've never heard of that. | |
