| ali hes as effective as before..what animal..the byrd fight the lewis fight the kirt johnson fight..vitali threw a 100 shots with bad intentionms..he looked in the best shape of his life..went 12 rounds with ease...there is noo decline in him.not to the point where theres a big differnce from before..again the byrd fight comes to mind and that was what 7 years ago maybe more..if hes declined soo bad haye should of said yes..or potvekin.. | |

As for Vitali retiring to let Wlad get glory, why? Vitali can fight as long as he wants, fuck all you haters and naysayers. You can see evidence of Vitali's decline in his previous fights, he's not the animal he use to be.
That's your opinion, can you please name one HW that has a chance at defeating him? There isn't anyone out there at the moment who can beat either brother, you already knew the answer to that question. It's bad enough having Wladimir tediously jab everyone to death, why do we need old Vitali around to bludgeon opponents when he's achieved everything he can ? |

Right, there isn't anyone out there at the moment who can beat either brother, so Vitali must not be as decrepit as some of you seem to think. FWIW, I like watching both Klitschko Bros, and to me, Vitali retiring just means we'll have one less good HW in the division, it solves nothing.

| vitali can fight as long as he wants, if he wins that easily why should he retire? its because of the state of the heavyweight division that he can win despite being over the hill. Yes i think he is slipping, but no1 can touch him as yet, so why retire when you are still vastly superior to your opposition | |

Wlad also might have more 1 punch KO power then his older brother, one thing Wlad doesn't have, is Vitali's whiskers, so I believe that it makes it a wash.

| Vitali was never the ANIMAL that your making him out to be Ali
Always fought in this boxer-puncher style
I think Solis will give him a real run for his money, even though he's obese, he has good technique and power

| I just watched the fight and that might have been the most accurate display of heavyweight punching I've ever seen. Shannon was gallant but that's all. Vitali was just Vitali and didn't look any more faded to me. I can't see anyone beating him yet. | |

maybe technically but in a fight, vitali would win. vitali is a better fighter though because he has a lot better stamina and a lot better chin.

Bute just put Brinkley down for the 2nd time in round 8. Brinkley looks like he really should be at 160.

| Nothing but respect for Brinkley. He tried to win, but was just outclassed by a very good fighter. | |

| Round 1 Vitali lands 3 good right hands. some jabs.
BJ Flores good point-Vitali is a master at space. He is right where he can throw, but if you throw he just leans back out of the way.

| Round 2-more of the same Vitali does subtle things with his shots. He varies the overhand right. He'll throw it a little wide and aim for the side of the head. He'll throw it level at you. He'll throw it very tall and downward. | |

| Round 3 Briggs lands a left hook that was by far his best shot of the first 3 rounds. Otherwise it was alot of Vitali
BJ Flores is not a bad studio analyst when he is on FNF; he also is doing a decent job as the analyst for this fight. Speaks very clearly, enunciates well, isn't using a bunch of cliches.

| Briggs lands a couple of decent shots in round 4 and Vitali actually seemed to feel them, but Vitali lands a lot more shots during the round
To be honest, I thought Vitali looked worse in his last fight against Sosnowksi than he has looked in the first 4 rounds of this fight.

| Hey Capt, you must have missed this fight last night, the most amazing thing about it was Briggs finishing the fight without getting knocked down or knocked out. | |
