| I didn't train as hard as I should have but I still managed to get a respectable time of 2:10. I figured most of the people in the event would be serious runners and that I would be near the back of the pack, but there were plenty of people fatter than me. I'm pretty sure I beat over half of the other runners. I felt my age around the 9 mile mark when my knees and back started to ache. I still enjoyed the race for the most part. | |

I did the same thing, many people underestimate a distance run the first time, it can be grueling when you hit the wall. | |
