Just wanted to say whats up. i heard this was a good place to talk to boxing fans. anything i should no about the guys on here? look forward to hangin here with you guys talking about fights.

welcome,i'm an almost newbie.we're getting the vitali v briggs fight on free to air.only damn problem is it starts at 6am sunday morning,which causes me a dilemna.maybe you guys can help.should i go out partying saturday night & come hopme in time to watch it.or should i have a quiet saturday night,wake about 5am,watch the fight & treat sunday like saturday night?

Welcome aboard. General board rules(informal):
1-try to avoid talking about belts. With around 100 belts over the 17 divisions what is the real value of a belt anymore??? If you refer to a belt, you will cause Marble's blood pressure to go through the roof (mine as well).
2-talk about any fighters you want to (past or present), but try to avoid obsessing about Pac or Floyd (or Pac vs Floyd)-it is fun to debate, but only in small doses
3-keep it civil
4-when Wolf posts (mostly an MMA poster), respond to his statements with facts. Getting in a shouting match on the board isn't productive, and it probably makes him happy as he seems to like getting a rise out of people
5-Friday and Saturday nights-always check on here, as we are a bunch of degenerate boxing fans. If there is fights, 98% of the time someone on here is watching it and willing to talk about. This is a great thing as people will discuss more than just HBO, Showtime, and ESPN fights. We'll hit good cards in the UK, Germany, etc.... One night it was 4-5 of us watching a world ranked fighter fight on a card out of a Nicaraguan grammar school gym(at least that is what it looked like!).

thanks for all the love. don't forget about bute tonight. the espn3.com thing is pretty cool. we've been able to see a few euro fights we wouldn't normally be able to see. looking forward to seeing bute in action tonight and klit tomorrow. it is also replaying on espn at 2pm et. sunday too.

i like what i am hearing captain. just wanted to add. i was gonna start posting at another site but the pac/floyd stuff and lack of original convo threw me off.

cool dmar will do. i have already read a few and its much better then the nonsense of other boards.

its always good to have more people as long as they are sincere boxing fans. this is easily the most intelligent boxing board i have been on.
