May not be here for a while

Just letting everyone know that I just lost my best friend to lung cancer. I may not be on here for a minute, then again, I may be on here more than ever. Couldn't tell you. I"m just in a state of shock at the moment. Thanks for understanding.

I know it's butting in but how about posting an elegy of sorts here for him. Probably help to write some great memories and it might be something you show to his family at some point.

Sorry to hear it Frank. I have a close friend with liver cancer and father-in-law is battling leukemia. I understand its non-discriminatory nature and relentless desire to take life. Good luck with everything...

Marble, that's an excellent idea. However, though I'm not known in the public sector, he is. Due to to the work I did for him, it would lead to my identity getting exposed and then I'd have to worry about some wacko not liking what I say on here and looking me up. The net can be a dangerous place. Anyway, this shook me out of my writers block.

Ok, Marble. I'll tell one story. We go way back. Long ago, after one of his shows, there was a very beautiuful woman who approached his son and I. She'd be the envy of any porno star. She was a brunette named Sherry and her fiancee was some rich arab guy. She actually thought my friend (the performer) was my father. She walked over to me and said, "I really like your father's music" and ran her hand across my shirt. My first reponse was, "Oh no, he's just a good frie - oh, so you liked his music huh?" LOL: Yeah, the lights were dim, but when I got a look at her my friend became my father very quickly. I've had some great times with women but the night we had ranks in the top 5 easily. Anyway, she kept in touch with the group. The "Arab' husband died and she's a millionaire now. Maybe I should pay her a visit under my alias. LOL. You have to find a way to laugh during times like these. A wise man once said, "Laughter is the music of the soul."

I don't know how to feel, man. I'm friends with his whole family but we were best buddies. Every Tuesday we'd meet at his house and shoot the shit, smoking cigs on the porch. I have to stop smoking. Believe it or not, I jog 4 miles a day and work out along with smoking a pack a day. I'm backing off of the fear of smoking right now just to get through this first. Believe me, I got the message loud and clear.

Yes it is. Thank you for the offer Sooner. Right now, I'm bonding with his family and that's helping us all get through this. I've been fortunate in that I never lost a close friend to death before so all of this is new to me. If I fall too low, you'll hear from me.

Oh, by the way, suck ass Wolfgangsta. (No offense Wolf, I'm just trying to get my original personality back. - smile)
