Man this might be better than Red Cliff. What an incredible movie.

I just ordered Red Cliff from my rental service, I hope it's as good as you say.

It all depends on if you can hang with foreign films. I expect most average Western pop culture slobs to dislike it. You'll like it if you're not one of them.

I don't mind foreign films, subtitles don't bother me. I loved Infernal Affairs,Old Boy,Hero,City Of God and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

I almost rented this like 10 times.

Do it. The storyline is such drama and the fight scenes are very well done. I was fully engaged the whole time.

I enjoy movies that deconstruct young characters with values as they age and the brutality of war takes its toll.

I'm glad these keep getting referred here. I jones for good old or new bad ass kung fu movies sometimes. Now I gotta DL this.

The storyline in this is pretty tame compared to what it could have been. I wasn't aware of how this movie glosses over some cultural importance of the conflict depicted. Still a satisfying release though just for the action and how it shows the breakdown of values caused by war.


I always like movies less enthusiastically after I read reviews that point out things I ignored or missed.

Bout to watch this instead of TUF. I hop ethe subs are bigger than Red Cliff, that started to hurt my eyes they were so small.

that shit was real. Much better than Red Cliff in quality, but a hair less entertaining.
