I wish I wasn't telling the truth because these rednecks overthere also have a ten year old son who acts like a teenage punk, swearing and getting into all kinds of shit in the neighborhood. Now I'm worried that he'll come after my 8 year old out of revenge or vandalize my house. I've had to complain to the parents twice in the last week. I'm sure these hillbillys will turn him loose on us now.

The story is kind of funny but they have a lot of kids and they're all fucked up, this is one of the most dysfunctional families I've ever seen. The dad is a fat ass drunk in his 40s with heart disease, mom a fountaindrinking whale, all their kids are foulmouth brats into shit all the time, no clean clothes, dirty, running the streets at all hours. The whole neighborhood hates these people. Why do you think he took his kids side instead of his girlfriends?

We tried to be as neighborly as possible but I'm pretty sure that is impossible now.

Buy a shotgun and clean it on your porch. That is what I would do if I thought someone was gonna mess with my family or property.

So the kids stepmom told one of my neighbors the dude was in surgery having his jaw fixed, and it was broken in two places. The cops told me he was faking it though.

I won't believe shit until I see his face again.

Well, his shit is gonna be wired for six weeks if that's the case. Gonna take one hell of an acting job to pull that off.

Hope you don't get sued. Not that you'll lose if your recall of the events is accurate, but the hassle of being dragged through a lawsuit is a pain in the ass enough.

I'm starting to get a little worried too. Glad I have witnesses, man. The kid got im my face initially and I just restrained him back until his girlfriend pulled him off, and all that shouting alerted the neighbors who were all outside when he ran back over to my yard when my son brought me the phone. That is when he ran into my yard and got walloped.

You know, most fights I've been in, I was partially at fault in some way or another by talking shit or doing something I probably shouldn't except this one. I did everything "by the book" and tried to defuse a bad situation, and only cracked him at last resort when he came at me in my yard. If I were superstitious I would say karma paid dividends. But I am not, and instead I'll blame him for leaving his chin open and letting me extend perfectly, turning my punch over.

I regret my kids having to see it but in a way I think the experience has been good for my son.

So a guy who was hurting his pregnant girlfriend ran at you and your son who was only there to bring you the phone to call the police? I would have feared for my child and myself if a mad man like that had entered onto my property. I would've defended myself any way I could.

Seems simple from what I have read. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Don't talk about it with anyone and get your shit together if you have to go to court.

This reminds me of a Madi Gras story in San Luis Obispo about 12 years ago.

A group of us were hanging at a house and a drunk dude down the street KO's this petite chick on the sidewalk. Me and my buddy were on the porch and saw it all and were none to pleased. My friend got to the guy about three seconds before me and was swinging. About four of the drunk dudes friends joined in and jumped us for about 20 seconds. Big mistake. One of our buddies saw from the living room window what was happening and sounded the alarm. Was a gnarly brawl and I got to knee a dude in the face so hard I was scared I killed him. Most of those tweakers got their ass beat or were running off after less than a minute, no one pulled any thing. The chick who got dropped came around and started throwing bottles at us, the guy who KO'd her was her boyfriend. Big Mama came out and the petite chick got KO'd again.

Damn it.


The kid's ok save his jaw. I saw him shootin hoops today. I should take pictures of that stuff so if I do have to answer a suit for something I can prove he's ok.
