| At the Zamboanga City Coliseum in Zamboanga City, Philippines, former two division world champion Gerry Peñalosa (55-8-2, 37KOs) stopped Yodsaenkeng Kietmangmee of Thailand (12-3) in four rounds of action. The fight was a farewell bout for Penalosa. He ends his 21-year boxing career on a winning note. Much of the proceeds from the event will go to injured Filipino boxer Z Gorres. Penalosa had lost his last two bouts as he entered the ring for this contest. He lost a controversial split decision in February to Eric Morel and in April 2009 he was stopped for the first time by current WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=31677 |

| Sadly, still no mention on the ESPN site, way to honor a great career. El Gordo needs to put down the Twinkies (or at least sneak some in to Scotland for Ali) | |

Freddie threw in the towel Lopez never stopped him. Gerry took hellacious shots and never went down or wobbled, his chin is made out of alien steel. |
