Trojans squash Gamecocks again

For the second time this year, Southern Cal has beaten the University of South Carolina. In January, a Federal Circuit court told South Carolina that they could not use the letters SC on their merchandise due to trademark infringement, but the school appealed to the Supreme Court. Yesterday the Supreme Court said that they would not hear the case and sided with the Federal court. Give it up South Carolina... You are not SC...

Who is OSU? Ohio State? Oregon State? Oklahoma State?
To me it is Oklahoma State.
To LTFG it is Oregon State.
To NoRegret it is Ohio State.

Doesn't matter what we call them when in discussion... It's all about merchandising. USC has it trademarked... And the vast majority of the people that follow college ball refer to them as such, and you know it. No one outside of the regional area calls the Gamecocks, USC. But this stupid lawsuit was about trademark and useage on merchandise. The Gamecocks can't use it.

I have seen the same A on Braves hats and Bama hats. The same O on Oklahoma State hats and Ohio State hats.

And if either of them had it trademarked and decided to push the issue, the other would have to drop it. This isn't even about the style of lettering. They are saying that no one can use an interlocked SC. Carolina tried to suggest that the style of letter is slightly different in its appeal, but the court rejected it.
