| http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/ndou-alvarez-clash-december-4-62250IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou (48-11-2, 31 KOs) is confident he will defeat Saul Alvarez (33-0-1, 26 KOs) of Mexico when they clash on December 4 at Xcaret, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Ndou recently defended the IBO title with a twelve round decision over Bongani Mwelasi (14-1, 12 KOs) in Gauteng, South Africa on September 18 and says this fight was a good warm up bout for the showdown against the highly regarded Alvarez. “I’ve seen Saul Alvarez fights against Jose Cotto and Carlos Baldomir and I see he does make mistakes in the ring,” said Ndou. “Against Cotto he was in trouble himself early in the fight and was nearly stopped but came back to win in round six.” Ndou added, “When I get him in trouble I will not let him off the hook. I gave Miguel Cotto a good fight and he’s a much tougher boxer than Jose Cotto. Alvarez win over Baldomir was predictable. I sparred Baldomir recently and I know he’s a shot fighter. I know Alvarez is looking for a win over a veteran but I want him to know he has picked on the wrong veteran. I am going to kick his ass. I must thank my boxing agent Mike Marchiote for getting me the fight against Alvarez.” Ndou won the IBF jr welterweight title in 2007 and captured the IBO welterweight title in 2009. | |

| alvarez is just fighting old welterweight fighters when he isnt even a welterweight. but again, he is still young so i will cut him some slack and at least he is active. but those excuses will only last another year or so. | |

| I always wonder what weght class Canelo is..... He fought at lot around the 140s but now is at jr middlewight class. He should be at Welter but I think he's too lazy to cut the weight (like Chavez jr) the Ndou fight is a good fight for him at this point. Ndou has never been knocked out, I think and he's been in the ring with some hard puchers. This fight most likely will go to the cards, which would really benif Canelo. Still Ndou isn't much of a power puncher and wnt be able t keep Canelo honest. Canelo by UD | |

| Who has the more impressive losers resume in the last ten years N'dou or Chop Chop? Both these guys must make pretty good change fighting up and comers and established guys moving up in weight. I we should call these guys Barometer Fighters. | |

| Canelo wants to fight at welter, but he's not ready for the top guys at that weight so he's jump around a bit to stay comfortable and active. Glad he's starting to campaign there and even has a shot at a meaningless strap to add to his hype machine. I smell a Canelo-Malinaggi fight in the future.
I thought Miranda looked pretty good against Bute before he got KO'ed. |

I thought Miranda looked pretty good against Bute before he got KO'ed. For all of what, 3 rounds or something? I thought Hasegawa looked pretty good against Montiel before.... | |

| This is actually a perfect fight for Canelo right now. N'dou is a rugged tough veteran, he'll give Alvarez a good learning experience. |

| I realize that the up & comers need to fight the past their prime vets, but sometimes it backfires. N'dou is close to 40 now. If Canelo doesn't do to him what he did to Baldomir, it could work against him both mentally and in the eyes of fans & promoters. Besides, if beating him somehow sets up a fight with Malignaggi, it'll just prolong his fights with relevant fighters. This is more GBP crap. Oscar must be stopped. | |
