Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones targeted for UFC 127 in February

So losing a close decision means hes not a top ten fighter? He looked great in that fight. He rocked Bader in every round. Nog is top ten.

Stop overreacting, Lil Nog lost a close decision to a young hungry talented wrestler, it's not the end of the world. Lil Nog might be on the way out of the top five but he's more than worthy of the top ten.

2005 was the list time Jackson was stopped, maybe I got carried away there I still feel Lil Nog has the tools to beat him.

Jackson has been inactive and hurt in his last two. I expect Machida to KO him. Cold.

It is when the guy that beat you isn't top 10 either. Lil Nog also really lost to Brilz.

Bader is top ten, and Brilz is also borderline top ten based on his performance. Brilz just isn't known. His record speaks for itself.

Now Lil Nog is getting written off? the guy is easily still top 10, as is Bader obviously. Lil Nog could beat any of those 3 LHWs mentioned, I'd def pick him against Forrest, Franklin and Page would be 50/50 fights.

Even though I think Machida is a bad matchup for Page and will beat him, I think Page will be more game then we'd expect and could catch anyone. This fight still blows for me as I love both fighters and it kills the loser a bit and both are still top contenders.

Franklin beats Nog imo. Page and Forrest could, but who knows? Lil Nog is still top ten.

How is Lil Nog top 10. The last top 10 guy he beat was in 2005 when he beat Dan Henderson. It's 2010 people.

He was on like a 7 fight win streak before this loss, you don't go from being ranked the 5th best LHW in the World to out of the top 10 cause you lost a close fight to another top 10 guy. I'm not ranking Forrest, Cavalcante (who isn't in my top 10 anyways), Randy, Thiago ect over him right now.

Rich Franklin hasn't beaten a top ten LHW since Evan Tanner, FYI. Thiago Silva has never done so unless we count Jardine. Your retconning of Nog has to be consistent. Under your reckoning there are no top ten fighters if fighters have to beat top ten guys to be in the top ten.

BUT Luiz Cane was on our top ten, the USA today top ten and Sherdog's top ten, so you're just flat wrong, but beyond that Vlad was top ten on some lists when he was stopped. So you're just wrong anyway.

Rich has beaten higher quality fighters than Lil Nog. Also Franklin has never lost to anyone not in the top 10 while Lil Nog lost to Bader and really lost to Brilz.
