If the Brazilian isn't injured as previously reported, then could that mean a middleweight title fight against Anderson Silva has been hastily assembled for late 2010 or early 2011?

Nate Marquardt is reportedly fighting Yushin Okami at UFC 122 in Germany while Chael Sonnen is expected to miss a year of action after failing a UFC 117 pre-fight drug test.

Does that leave the promotion with any other option -- and was this by design after the Sonnen scandal? An announcement is expected "very soon."

Looks like that is the most likely scenario.

I like the change up! Marquardt needs another fight fast to secure his position as the next challenger to the MW crown after vitor vs Silva. Let us not overlook Okami though kids.

Why? Didn't he fight Terry Martin and Lindland at MW? He was training to fight Okami at MW. He has been asking for this MW title shot....so why don't u think he makes weight?

This is a horrible turn of events. I hope Chael really took steroids because if all this is for nothing I'll be even more furious. This ruins like 9 potential good fights. Vitor has 000 and I mean zero fucking business fighting Anderson right now. None. This is borderline enraging.
