rematch clause in the Bradely-Alexander fight Empty
PostSubject: rematch clause in the Bradely-Alexander fight   rematch clause in the Bradely-Alexander fight EmptyMon Sep 20, 2010 7:07 pm

Both guys have an immediate rematch clause in the contract and with it, the'll be paid more for it (Bradely will get 100K more then that 1.1 hes getting in Jan)

Is it wise? both guys arent the hardest of punchers, so I believe it will go on the cards. It could be close or one sided and they could still fight. The loser, may still want to cash out for the rematch. That rematch clause could get in the way of winner of Maidana vs Khan and winner of Bradely-Alexander face off for the lineal crown.

I dont like it, I would rather have a lineal champ by the end of the summer.

If it's a one sided beat down, like I think it will be in favor of Bradley, I think they'll void the immediate rematch. Just my opinion...

Im a fan of Devon, but unles he learned from his last fight and gets away from that basic attack, he will lose. He looked really bad and i think that kind of takes away from this fight. Alexanders power has been overrated a bit, he wont be able to KO Bradley.

I just want the damn fight to be made.

I like Bradley in the fight against Alexander, and I expect Bradley to come out on top of Khan, Alexander, Ortiz, Maidana, and all them other jokers jocolor

Nah, the fight is already set, Its on ESPN. The rematch clause bugs me because I want to see this winner face the winner of Khan-Maidana.

HBO sure did pony up a lot $$$ for a rematch, if the first fight blows, they're already contracted to dish out another 2 million

If Im HBO, I start putting minimum ratings into agreements
Have tiered figures to make promoters & fighters work to market these fights

They're paying waaay to much $ and not much getting in return

Dream scenario, Khan/Maidana vs Ortiz on the undercard of the rematch, winners face off for all the marbles.

Not yet, hopefully it's a live opponent. I would love to see Kendall Holt in there with him.

Holt is moving up to 147 and in rebuilding mode after his loss to Mabuza

Urango, Kotelnik, Lamont Peterson, Mabuza all good choices for the fans

I say it's time to give Ortiz a puncher, he's in Khan's scenario were he hasn't faced a good puncher since their first loss.

Khan vs Maidana
Ortiz vs Urango

" I got a boner."

I'm surprised no one mentioned Brandon Rios as a possible oppenent. That would be a good match up. Bad blood also. I guess their beef has to do with Ortiz disrespecting his old trainer during his civil trial when he was leaving Top Rank (Rios current trainer). Also the other day on Boxingscene people were discussing the radio chat of Rios on his beef with Ortiz. I guess Ortiz sent people after Rios at one point. It's obvious these two don't like each other.
