| I was watching Cruz vs Bowles late last night and I thought of something. Why don't fighters ever take their full five mins or at least a couple mins to recover from nutt shots? I guess if your winning and you want to keep the pace. Maybe it didn't hurt that bad I would understand but if your getting schooled and getting tired why not take the full five mins. Aoki is the only fighter I've ever seen not just try and shake it off in 30 seconds and jump back in.
I understand they're putting on the show, it would suck as a viewer, but if I was in their position. Losing a fight, gassing out, and I took a nutt shot I would take all the time they would give me. Maybe you still lose but why not give yourself a better chance?

| I think its a natural reaction to get mad as fuck when hit in the nuts and as soon as you can catch a breath your ready to get back to it and beat his ass. | |

| In my experience a few seconds after the shot your in tons of pain, you can catch your breathe and composure after a minute or 2 sometimes less. If you wait longer the nausiousness sets in and its hard to ignore it. never taken one in fight but in spar i find this holds true to me. | |

I don't care what kinda shape one is in, if you get socked in the sack you're hurting!

I don't care what kinda shape one is in, if you get socked in the sack you're hurting! Thats my thought untill you see these fighters jump right up after one min and shit. Some of these nutt shots fighters take I wouldn't even be able to continue.

| It's cause the ref asks them 100 times, are you ready? Can you continue? Are you ready? Fighter are you ready? Can you go? OK let's go...You ready? | |

This. We saw it just the other night in fact I think in one of the fights(I forget which one). Might have been Escudero/Oliveira. The ref kept saying "come on, lets go" when the guy is trying to recover from a fucking knee to the coinpurse. Thats probably why they don't take the full time, because they have some jackass urging them to come out.

| I've taken a few playing Rugby League and Soccer and I always have to pee when it happens. It would be funny if a fighter asks for a bucket while in the cage. |

He has 5 min!" | |

| Chris Tuscherer took almost the full five. Gonzaga smashed him as soon as they restarted.
CC took five minutes too against Overeem but couldn't continue. Fedor thought it was fuckin hilarious.

| A lot of the times they just want to make the ref aware that they were hit low and it really didnt hurt them because their cup protects a lot of low blows. | |
