| Wladimir Klitschko is being ducked by David Haye right now, and Alexander Povetkin also backed out of a scheduled fight with Wladimir this year.
Celestino Caballero is being avoided like the plague by Super Bantamweights and Featherweights, Gamboa wants nothing to do with him and JuanMa even moved up a division to avoid Caballero despite being called out multiple times by Caballero. The guy is having a difficult time finding an opponent for his Nov 27th spot on HBO.
Sergio Martinez - Kelly Pavlik opted out of a contracted rematch with Martinez claiming weight issues but now Kelly's choosing to stay at Middleweight. Paul Williams is very reluctant to sign a rematch with Martinez right now. And Alfredo Angulo turned down the opportunity to face the Middleweight champion even though it was going to be below 160lb and HBO had guaranteed to give Angulo schedule slots if he lost. |

| When you've got guys moving up divisions to avoid you, then the you know you're a badman. |

| I think Wlad may have a special case, in that in addition to being the true world champ he also offers his challengers career high once-in-a-lifetime paydays that his challengers have no chance of ever getting anywhere else ... yet they still avoid fighting the champ. | |

| Wlad's the only one who makes people wonder if they are taking their life in their hands. Sergio and Paul only make people worry about losses. | |

Very interesting.. take a look at this Wlad: Huge draw in Germany, lineal champ, highly dangerous, in the shallowest division, heavy puncher. Martinez: Not a draw, lineal champ, highly dangerous, in a shallow division, light puncher. Caballero: Not a draw, no trinket (though held two at 122), highly dangerous, in a deep division, light puncher.

| caballero has been avoided by all of the top fighters for years even though he was in the p4p list a while ago. these other fighters have at least fought some of the best at their weight classes. | |

| From Dan's rankings - Quote :
Angulo is a powerful and exciting fighter but not a rocket scientist. He had an opportunity to challenge middleweight champ Sergio Martinez in November on HBO, but he turned down $750,000 (a career-high purse by more than double) plus a guaranteed HBO comeback fight and the protection of his sanctioning body ranking at junior middleweight. And he rejected it without having anything else lined up for the rest of the year. |

| Good question. I honestly can't associate the word "fear" with any of those fighters. The last fighter to scare me was a young "George Foreman." Duran may've been a bit ferocious (LOL) and there was a time that Hearns was a terror in the WW division, but that's about it for me. Ali, you should've included Pacquiao. That KO of Hatton stunned a lot of people. | |

| I dont see how its not Wlad. He has both Haye and Povetkin running as fast as they can to get away from him. These guys are avoiding the opportunity to fight for a ring championship. How often do contenders do that? |

| Sooner, I see where you're coming from and I could agree with you. However, that HW division is pound for pound, the worst division I've ever seen. Honestly, I don't think it takes much to strike fear into the hearts of Haye and Povetkin. Go to visit Haye and take a couple of your ball players with you. Growl at him and see what his reaction is. LOL | |

But right now to me Klit is the most feared by his competition. So hows it going in the film buisness Frank? |

Everything's going in the right direction. It's like this, Sooner. If you're out of the circle, you fight like hell to get in. If you're in the circle, you're given the chance to prove yourself over and over again. If they can avoid destroying themselves (which is a familiar story) then they can make loads of money. Hope that made sense. (Note: I seem to be on the attack this morning. Must've had a bad dream or something. - smile)

You're correct, Sooner. But let's look at it another way. Clottey accepted a fight with Pac for money, but did he really come to fight or show up to pick up a check and avoid serious injury? I think it's the latter. Sure, they'll sign to fight, but after watching him nearly beat Oscar and Cotto to death (literally, believe me, those were dangerous fights that lasted way too long) and destroy Hatton, they will sign, get paid, clinch, run or find a soft place on the canvas. If someone does score a flash knockdown on Manny, don't be surprised if he helps him up. No debate necessary. Let's just keep our eyes on him. One thing I don't do is deny what I see. The "Boxing Press" that seemed delusional to the dangers of a 45 year old Foreman taught me that.
