Hearns-Tito at 147 That is interesting. I know Hearns probably wins by late KO but Tito was no joke at WW. He hit very hard and would give Hearns one hell of a fight. I think Hearns wins that fight early. Look at the kinds of guys who dropped Tito in the first three rounds. The Hitman hits him and he might get up once...once. Tito's power could keep Hearns at bay for a bit. But you are probably right Hearns might crush him. Does Tito hit harder than Pipino Cuevas? I'm a HUGE Tito fan. But this is a really hard matchup for him I think. Great Point.
I have another matchup. What do you think happens in this one?
Ray Mancini vs Manny Pac- The one thing I do know is there would be fireworks. LOL VERY different quality fighters. Boom Boom was very good. Manny is GREAT. The 135 who showed up against David Diaz I think cuts Mancini to ribbons.
And you?
Yes I agree. I think Pac eventually KO's him around round 10 or so but those 10 rounds would be awesome. If it took alexis 14 rounds to TKO him I dont think pac can wear him down faster than 10. |

Hearns-Tito at 147 i was thinking the same thing. morales had a great chin but could it have held up against gomez' power? and on the other end of the spectrum, would gomez know what to do against a fighter that wouldnt back down and wouldnt be phased by his power? its a toss up. i would like to see hagler vs robinson also. i think that its a fight that people dont mention for a great match up. we always put robinson against welterweights but he was definitely a great middleweight too. i think that hagler would push robinson to his limit. who would win? who knows. i think that hagler might be able to pull it out but at the same time, the speed of robinson might be the factor that would lose hagler the fight. too many close fights.

I dunno. One thing Alexis wasn't was fast. Manny is blindingly fast. I think Manny gets him much quicker unless Ray can back him up. Maybe Ray can back him up?

too many close fights. The thing I wonder about with Hagler and Robinson is Marvin's pre-fight mindset. If he goes into that fight overly respectful like he was with Duran or trying to prove a point like he did with Leonard? I can't see him winning. If he goes in like he did with Caveman Lee or Minter or Hearns? Be a galactically great fight.
