And that my friends is how you finish off your opponent.Disgusting display by the British hooligans.
British Hooligans has always sounded redundant to me
The celebration in the Marbleheadmaui home was vast and extended that day!

My father and I jumped in the air and embraced each other. We had followed Hagler's career from the beginning. He was at his nastiest best that September night.

Sadly, given the lack of luck and respect he had garnered to that point, there was something almost poetically appropriate about him being denied his moment of glory by the bottle throwers.
As for his "nastiest best," Marvin at his physical best on a mission was a terrifying thing.

I find it puzzling that Hagler looked like a beast in his fights with Hamsho and Obel and at times would fight cautiously i.e Duran. He really did a number on Hamsho in their first fight.

I think Marvin had a bit of a weakness mentally. He gave certain guys (most notably Duran and even Leonard) just too much respect. Had he just said "my game is to walk through these men and wreck them and I'm ok if that means I'm just a slugger." How could either survive? But Marvin didn't always do that. He wanted to beat those guys at THEIR game.
