Pavlik gets in bar fights, has laundry lists of excuses and has Jack Loew as a trainer that alone makes you unclassy

I forgot about the cocaine. You are right on him. He seems very nice though.

I hope SOMEONE is teaching that guy English. A million dollar smile, otherworldly athleticism, a beautiful family and from the translations he seems like a decent guy. If he learns the language he could be a mega-star.

Yup.

How about Azumah Nelson? The only issue I can think of was his claim of malaria pots the Fenech draw.

Nelson definitely a good guy in my book

TUnney seemed like a class act as well

fought in the war, was always corteous, was smart, repped the sport well

you know your a good guy when you can beat Dempsey, take his title, win the rematch, and 30 years later Dempsey will come help campaign for your son in a congressional race

I can't believe I forgot Eder Jofre. After the bell ending the first fight with Fighting Harada, the then unbeaten Jofre escorted Harada around the ring in Tokyo raising the challengers hand in victory.

This was BEFORE the decision was rendered.

AFTER the decision was rendered he lifted Harada and carried him around.

Jofre later became mayor of Sao Paulo. Scandal free I believe.
