| I think Adamek is just trying to top David Haye. | |

| I respect Adamek keeping busy but is Vinny Maddalone really the best they could come up with ?
Why not Chageav,Povetkin,Thomson,Chambers or Solis ? He'll I'd even settle for the likes of Kevin Johnson and Juan Carlos Gomez. |

Supposedly already in talks for it next year Yup. I go NO problem with a tune-up like this at all given what he's done in the last year or so.

| Vinny Maddalone was one of the inspirations for the main character or a script I wrote in college called "A Bum's Life". | |

| The script revolved around a struggling New Brunswick, NJ middleweight Jimmy "The Italian Hammer" LaRosa. Despite the fact he's been KO'd four times, his promoter convinces him that he's the next Arturo Gatti, and Jimmy is deluded to the point where he listens to the Raging Bull theme while he trains, thinking he'll be alongside LaMotta, Pep, Marciano and Graziano, the Italian greats. He then gets violently KO'd in ten seconds during his next fight, prompting his big haired wife to demand his retirement from the ring. He takes another fight and gets KO'd again. It ended with his wife leaving him, his kid taken away, and he still keeps fighting, believing he's going to be a star someday, with the last shot being him working the bag while the Raging Bull theme plays.
It got a B+ | |

maddalone is the real muscular guy who fought that war with Brian Minto that looked like it had all the skill of two nine-year olds in a backyard fighting over a cupcake. Highly intense though!

It got a B+ Man, that reads almost like it explores some of the themes of Requiem for a Heavyweight. LaRosa sounds like a less talented version of Mountain Rivera.

| Adamek's opponents at HW have had specific purposes; instead of just picking guys, they have had some thought behind them.
Golotta- big payday against safe opponent who was most likely shot and thus was a perfect first HW fight (big money and not big risk)
Estrada- legit non shot, top 40 HW
Arreola- Step up fight against top 10 ring ranked fighter
So Adamek had increased his level of competition and beaten a top 10 guy. He doesn't gain alot by fighting alot of the other top 10 guys as they don't help prepare him for Wlad or Vitali (his most likely big fights).
Grant- big guy who can somewhat approximate the tall Klits
Rumor has it that Wlad and Adamek are going to face off in March or April of next year. If that fight is indeed on Wlad's radar, then a stay busy fight makes sense for December.
Madalone- stay busy fight, stay sharp and in shape, in best attempt to dethrone Wlad
I don't have a problem with what he has done. He has fought often, against varied competition, and Main EVents has done a decent job building him at HW. They are trying to give him the best shot possible to beat Wlad.

| Surely Tony Thomson would be a better choice, that way Adamek has two fights against larger opponents who are similar in size to Wladimir and Vitali. |

| My scottish friend. While I agree that Thompson would be another large opponent, he is LEFT HANDED.
I don't think they want Adamek facing a southpaw.

| This guy would sell out The Rock if he fought a toddler in a tutu. He keeps winning and the rabid Polish fans keep paying. Adamek is like the Heavyweight Gatti. He has a strong ethnic following and shows his vulnerability once a fight. He also proves to be tough as nails and entertaining. Good for Adamek fight whoever you want just keep fighting. We were talking about something similiar to this last week. A top fighter should fight six times a year with two of those fights being big fights. Adamek will be sharp for a Klitschko showdown. He might get beat but he will be game. | |

| Plus, Thompson is a guy that makes you look bad even if you beat him. And since Wlad vs Adamek seems to have some behind the scenes movement already, no need to take a big risk.

Dream scenario for 2011 Tomasz Adamek vs Wladimir Klitschko turns into a thrilling hard fought battle where Wlad stops a valiant Adamek late. David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko turns into a shock knockout victory for Haye. Winners meet late summer to crown and undisputed champion. |

| Dream scenario:
Wlad knocks Haye out with one right hand; after the fight, Haye is being interviewed and he has no idea he was knocked out. "knocked out, what are you talking about, I'm the greatest."
Hayden dumps Wlad
Wlad is distraught and sleeps with Vitali's wife
Vitali says, "Get your ass in the ring, baby bro."
Vital and Wlad go tooth and nail in a heavyweight fight worthy of mention

That will never happen. |

| Ali,
you have your HW dream scenario and I have mine; at 930 pm after a long week, mine just happen to be a little more outlandish in general.
