| "Devon and Tim are both undefeated world champions, while the other so-called top guys at 140 have been knocked out or beaten already," said Cunningham. "The winner of this fight between Devon and Tim is in the mix with Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley." http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=30782 |

I stopped taking him serious after he claimed Alexander would knockout Kotelnik in one round. |

| He's hyping his boy up. I find nothing wrong with that. Just like when freddie roach says Pacquiao is going to KO all of his opponents. | |

He's putting too much pressure on a young fighter like Alexander. He should shut the fuck up.

| Except Roach is normally right and he is talking about a great fighter, not a kid who needs to improve quickly. | |

| I see their relationship ending very soon. If Bradley beats Alexander, Alexander hires a new coach. | |

What pressure?I didnt read the article im just going off of what Ali posted in the OP. "The offer [from Don King] could have been better, but this fight is not just about the money," said Cunningham. "Devon wants the opportunity to prove that he is the best at 140, and the only way that that happens is to fight Tim Bradley."
Cunningham views Bradley as the final step before his fighter is ready for the biggest names in the business. If Alexander walks away with three titles - a fight with Floyd Mayweather, Shane Mosley or Manny Pacquiao, could be next.

"The winner of this fight between Devon and Tim is in the mix with Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley."If Alexander loses he will claim that he was moved too fast and that he needed more time. How much more money does Cunningham think Alexander should have gotten? Cunningham needs to shut the fuck up.

Bradley shown he can mix things up, fight inside-box-exchange when he needs to When one becomes a professional one should get a professional trainer. I'm not saying change every other fight like Chad Dawson but not everyone is Marvin Hagler who had the Petronelli's his entire career. I don't think that Cunningham is a very good trainer, he seems to be too much of a mouth piece living vicariously through his fighter. When the trainer starts thinking he's bigger than the fighter than it's time for a change.

| This isn't the only dumb thing Cunningham has said, in the past he's made bold claims that Alexander and Bradley are bigger draws than Khan, and he's also extremely disrespectful to alot of other Jr Welterweights. |

Cunningham can talk. He's wrong but he's not out of line. I doubt Alexander goes anywhere else. Cunningham's a father figure and a solid trainer. What's so crazy about this? He thinks his fighter can be a superstar? He thinks his fighter could've gotten more $? He has to think that. This is no different than what any other trainer says. And honestly, he's not that far off. Cunningham probably thinks Alexander should get equal billing as Bradley (and you can make that case based on their televised appearances and records). If Alexander wins, the obvious fight is with Khan or Maidana, but a mega fight isn't out of the question. A good amount of this board would've preferred Pac-Bradley so why would Pac-Alexander be any worse if he wins? Alexander had a tough fight against a tough fighter. That doesn't make him smoke & mirrors. I'm not saying that Pavlik-Loew was that, but Devon has shown more from a strategy and technique standpoint and Cunningham from an in ring advice standpoint than Pavlik-Loew. People seemed to get way too carried away with Alexander after every fight. He's a talented young fighter with a lot to learn. If he can win while he's learning he will be great and a superstar. If not, he's still got a shot. |

If not, he's still got a shot. Sure he can learn just not from Cunningham. Cunnigham was giving terrible advice in the Kotelnik fightand Devon made zero adjustments. If Don King can't get you more money then you're not worth anymore. Alexandr has been on the scene for a short time. Paydays will come with victories and time. Cunnigham knows nothing about the business side of the game and should keep his mouth shut. He's putting too much pressure on his fighter and taking about other opponents before facing ones next opponent is a bad bad idea. The concentration should be on the task at hand not the future after Bradley.
