| No idea where everyone is. I'm doing the normal. Lawyering it up. You can tell whether my day is busy or absolutely insane by how many posts I can get in during a day.
I hate being a lawyer. Picked the wrong damn profession.

| -I'm trying to change professions.
-It isn't working so well in this economy.
-While working I went back to school and took all the accounting classes towards a career in public accounting, government accounting, etc..... I can't get the time of day from anyone in the accounting industry.
-When interviewing with public accounting firms I get asked questions like: "Would you be bored working here?" or "Have you thought about looking for a corporate tax department with an opening?" or one CPA from a large national firm told me, "you are overqualified for an entry level position but you don't have the experience in public accounting for a higher position."
People see a law degree, bar membership, etc... and they just don't want to think outside the box.
-They wonder why someone wouldn't want to be an attorney. They need to recognize that there is a ton of attorneys who hate the profession, want out, but don't have the guts to actually try to get out. Most of us don't make insane doctor type money where the money is enough to justify it, if you hate it like the plague.
Hopefully in the next six months I can find someone in the accounting profession who will give me a shot, since everything nasty people say about lawyers I find to be actually true.
-I never thought being too highly educated would be a drawback!!!!!!
-Maybe I should give boxing writer a shot. I couldn't be any worse than Mr. Twinkie at ESPN!!!!

I worked at a grocery store for 8 years and hated every minute of it. I would come home just pissed off and in a bad mood every day. Since I have been teaching I am happy about 90% of the time. |

-Maybe I should give boxing writer a shot. I couldn't be any worse than Mr. Twinkie at ESPN!!!! Man I sympathize. I wrote the LSATs and was accepted to law school as an undergrad, but after spending time with people who were actually in law school (or lawyers) I decided to steer clear and go another direction for my career. Now, ironically, I work in regulatory affairs so I deal with lawyers all the time! Most of them hate the work as well, unless they’re the totally kool-aid drinking brainwashed types who can’t think beyond the legalistic to what the intention of anything actually is. I pity/hate those guys. I went on to get a graduate degree in Public Relations, and boxing writer is up there at the top of my “fantasy job” list as well! Ah well, with bills to pay and kids to raise I’m on the treadmill now. Hope the career change works out for you.

I really cant think of one. Maybe Floyd vs Shane? or Cotto vs Foreman? You do realize the fight of the year is suppose to be entertaining back and fourth action and competitive ? |

| my wife is a teacher and she loves it. Sure there are some bad days, but most are pretty good. Throw in the long Christmas Break, a full week off for Spring Break, and the Summer Vacation, and she is loving life.

Hell yeah. Whats funny is if you break it down I make $27 an hour. But here in Oklahoma we are the second lowest paid in the US. Texas teachers make almost twice as much. |

| The pay for teachers isn't as bad as it seems considering the amount of time not working (but they still need to be paid more). In this rough economy where state governments are tightening belts, teachers pay isn't going up much. | |

They cut spending and fired a bunch of teachers in Oklahoma. Right now I have 30, 31 and 30 kids in my 3 classes. Thats because they fired a teacher and cut out 2 sections of history. All the history classes are like that in my school. How about this we are having to move desks right now from teachers classes every hour so we will have enough desks for the kids to sit in. |

It's been a really poor year for boxing in general, no big fights to look forward to and few fight of the year contenders. |
