| from fightnews:
The WBA already recognizes two world champions at middleweight. Felix Sturm, designated as WBA middleweight “super” champion and Gennady Golovkin as WBA “interim” champion. Now there are reports that Golovkin will be passed over for an opportunity to fight for the WBA’s vacant “regular” middleweight world championship and WBA #2 rated Hassan N’Dam N’Jkam will face #3 rated Avtandil Khurtsindze for that belt — which doesn’t sit well with Team Golovkin. According to FIGOsport, if Golovkin isn’t offered a chance for that title, his management may ask the Association of Boxing Commissions to look into the matter.

3 "world champion" trinket holders in one division in one Alphabet organization. LOL!!!!!!!
and some people still take these trinkets seriously......
hey, if there's a way to squeeze a fourth sanction fee out of one division, I'm sure they'll find it.

| wba is beyond pointless. golovkin is the future of this weight class with pirog so why not make sturm or one of the other top rated clowns in that weight class face him. i can't understand why you wouldn't want a top level guy who would attrack fans because of his style to be your champion.golovkin's an animal | |

Didn't Sturm already say he wanted no part of Golovkin ? |

I think so, but if Golovkin is his mandatory, might see it

I think so, but if Golovkin is his mandatory, might see it I hope not, because I am still holding out hope that Sturm might eventually take a meaningful fight before his fall from grace. |

Pirog? Pavlik? Chavez Jr? Jacobs?
Pirog vs Sturm would be cool

Pirog vs Sturm would be cool Williams or Martinez. I know it's very unlikely but I can always hope Felix gets bold in his thirties. |

| Either of those would be good to see as well, especially if the rematch never comes off | |

| another total farse..now you dont have to wonder when i read or hear for example ken norton tony tubbs mike weaver and litterly 3 dozen or more called former world heavyweight champs..there nothing ..no champ just a pawn in the commisions actions to destroy boxing...almost every fight i see for the past few years the shill announchers say he was a former or two time world champ etc etc..the guys lucky if he was a legit top 6 or 7 contender on his best days...sturm is a joke..to wish he would have one meaningfull fight before his career ends says volumes about him and his plastic title..hes a legit contender in a extra weak division....is there any stop or end to this madness.. | |

| Sturm has had a meaningful fight. His first foray into the USA. He won, but was clearly robbed. Some of you may remember. | |

Sturm has fought top middleweights before, I am just holding out hope that he'll face another title holder before he's past his prime. |
