| I'm already hearing grumblings about this card due to the lack of a true marquee main event but this card has greatness written all over it. Unlike last night which had a few fights just totally shit the bed, can you find a loser in this group?
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Frank Mir Ryan Bader vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Chris Lytle vs. Matt Serra Evan Dunham vs. Sean Sherk Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens
That is top to bottom action which is the same thing some of us were saying about 115 which turned out to be a pretty damn good card. I have no problem throwing the money down when the action looks like it will be well worth it

| Yeah, that's going to be an awesome card..no complaints here.
It's not the card of high implications except for a few names but the matchups will blow UFC 118 out of the water.

| 118 wasn't that bad of a card, I was really impressed with Edgar and at the same time felt a sadness come over me at the end of the fight when the two fighters did literally the exact same thing they did after the first fight. Edgar's boys paraded him around, Penn sulked his arms on the cage and caught his breath. It was then I truly realized the BJ Penn era is likely over. Then hearing him say shit like "ya I can't be making any quick decisions", revealing the fact he is considering and likely has been considering retirement. I was engaged the whole time.
People will look back later at the significance of this card. The UFC has, IMO, lost one of it's greatest fighters ever for all intensive purposes.

| The main event was awesome. It was a great fight with back and fourth moments that truly crowned a fresh champion and likely saw one of the legends of the sport ride out into the sunset. No complaints here.
Then again Damian Maia and Gray Maynard fought as listlessly as one can and still win.

I think the card as a whole sucked but did have its moments.

| There was some strong performances on 118 but the fight quality was just no good for the most part. Every card has strong performances. Strikeforce: Nashville had strong performances but you could not get me to watch that card again at gunpoint.

| I'll sign off on that. It is the first card I kind of regret buying in a while. I'd have much rather bought UFC 115 looking back. The main event saved the card for me. | |

To me it was not exciting. The best fight was on Spike before the PPV. |

Lack of a true "name" main event. Many people think CroCop is finished and Mir looked like he got into a high speed car accident after his last 2 fights were over

| I can't wait to see what Evan Dunham does, I am just waiting for Sherk to pull out with some mysterious injury. | |
