| Im huge fan so im obviously dissapointed.I really thought he would win last night, but Edgar clearly is a stylistic problem for BJ with his speed. I think that Penn should try a new camp though(X-treme couture maybe)....how can u come in and use the exact same gameplan that DIDN'T work the first time u fought.I hope he stays at LW...i still think he beats anyone other than Edgar at the weight and with the right game plan he could possibly beat Frankie(leg kicks and takedowns immediatly).I think Gray is goind to beat Edgar again anyway.....its all about style matchups it seems.Anyway what do u guys think he will and should do next? | |

| Perhaps a rematch with Matt Sera at Welterweight. |

| Florian or Gomi.
Not who i would have him fight but he'll probably end up fighting one of those two.

| BJ Penn is flat out mulling retirement. Time for a Hughesian victory tour. BJ Penn is done at the top.*
*I could be wrong, and perhaps a change of scenery will bring the fire and explosiveness back, but I doubt it. He's shot.

He's not shot at all.Im the biggest Penn fan around and ill admit that Edgar is just a stylistic problem for Bj.That combined with a horrible gameplan is why last night happened the way it did.I never thought i would see a LW have Bj's # like that while he was still at the top of his game....its shocking to me,but i still say Penn would beat any other LW out there. And Edgar will probably lose to gray.As they say "Styles make fights".

| BJ Penn is not shot. He's 31 years old not 51. He doesn't look like he has the heart or desire right now. 6 months ago we were saying he is unbeatable at Lightweight and it might be a long time before he losses his title. |

| He might not be shot, I'll admit that, but only if you admit that if keeps fighting fights like UFC 118 he is. | |

| Its sad cause BJ went in to the edgar fight with the same game plan saying I am better than him and I am going in there to prove it. Think again bj. | |

Like Hughes? Or does he have a little more left then that? Hughes has been winning at WW so he still has some left in the tank.

Hughes did just choke out Almedia, not exactly a scrub. Hughes would own BJ at WW right now. Hughes has more left then you give him credit for.....but I agree BJ has MORE left, but how much more? I think it is closer then people want to think.

| I think people are overreacting, Penn lost to Edgar, but he'll beat any other contender at LW. People aren't giving Frankie enough credit here. | |

| I'd rather see BJ move up than stay at Lightweight, he's already built a legacy there. |

Yeah moving up to a WC with even bigger, stronger wrestlers is a smart career move. BJ might become the next Rich Franklin and just taking interesting fights to help fill cards for the UFC during non-title fight PPVs.

To see him turn into the mini-Franklin? Where he can fight fights like Hughes 3 and Serra 2?

| Man the videos on BJPenn.com reiterate the same shit he said in the cage. He looks ready to walk away. He has no heart or fire for fighting anymore. | |

Did BJ just have a bad night emotionally or something? Just days before I saw BJ talking motivated and saying he wanted to fight more often. I think this is a road block that BJ eventually gets past. Reminds me of CC saying he is ready to take 1 more run at a title then after the fight saying he lost his fire. Time passed and he wanted to fight again. I think the same will happen to BJ.
