| I have to thank Tim and BBC for giving me this idea for a thread.
How do they fair against the top guys in each division?
Is there a time in the 80's where they could have been champ?
80's best fighters. Holmes, Tyson, Spinks (I guess)
90's best fighters. Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe |

| My guesses?
Bowe on his best night, at 235 or under, beats both Ukranians. Just too mobile and too fast.
Lewis on his best night KO's Wlad and beats Vitali. Just too big and too big a puncher for little bro and just a little better than big bro.
The edge that the Ukranians have is that over the last 3-4 years they are ALWAYS at their best while Riddick and Lennox weren't.
I think Evander is in for a real battle here. Both of these guys are far more disciplined than Bowe and I'm not sure Evander can really get close without getting bombed. At some point Evander becomes too much brave and too little smart.
Larry Holmes is too smart, too agile, too fierce for both.
Tyson has a real chance for three rounds against anybody. But if he doesn't get them then? He gets badly KO'd. I'll take Tyson to stop Wlad and get beaten by Vitali.
Michael Spinks is just too small and has no shot in my view.
Cooney and Wlad would have been a fun fight. Old George beats Wlad. You know who is an interesting matchup for both brothers? How about Tony Tucker?

Fuck I forgot about Tucker. and Cooney for that matter. I think Wlad has a great shot at Tucker because of that huge right hand he has. So do you think either Klit could have been champ in those 20 years? |

So do you think either Klit could have been champ in those 20 years? Oh sure. If Riddck comes in at less than his best (which he often did), Vitali could take him. If either can survive three rounds on Tyson, they beat him and like I said I think Evander has his hands full against either. I think the question is can you see either beating Page and Williams and Pinklon and Bonecrusher and Witherspoon and Moorer and Big George to get in that position for those fights? I can see circumstances that allow one to win the crown. Tougher to see how they stay there very long.

I tell you what we would love the Klits much more if they had that much comp. Vitali has the ablitiy to get to the top. Staying there is another thing. He might be one of those guys like Holy that is just so tough to beat he becomes champ a couple of times. |

At 6 feet tall and with an alligator's reach, no bobbing and weaving and a suspect chin? My guess is their jabs make him stationary and he never gets close and they bomb him out. Now if he actually finds a way to get close and he hits Wlad? Sayanora!
