| Just an example but look at people like Evander Holyfield who may have had a shot 10 years ago but now since he has continued fighting he wouldnt have a shot at all. Say Manny goes out in his next 2 or 3 fights and gets KOed by Margo and then loses to some1 after that again, would he still be an immortal? | |

Make a greatness of thread and put a poll on it. If he gets 75% or more we can add him Marble. Thats what we decided to do if anyone felt strongly for someone to get in. |

See with Manny I think the answer is YES. I think his accomplishments an no longer be compromised. I also don't think Evander's have been compromised either. I think it just takes time to put them in context. Most of the guys who made the list faded out at the end and had bad losses. | |

The idea here was the be incredibly exlusive. A super-duper HOF if you will. Mere greatness isn't enough. RJJ and Bernard Hopkins are greater than Manny and atleast half the people you listed. Old boxers are way overated and new age boxers are way underated. Lennox Lewis deserves to be on it also. |

What happened in the return fights though? How do we know he ducked then? Did he ever say it himself he didn't want to fight them? He's easily a top 10 heavyweight ever. |

So LL is greater than these guys. Ali, Frazier, Louis, Johnson, Holmes, Foreman, Dempsey, Liston, Marciano, Jeffries, Walcott, Tunney, Langford |

| Just because someone was good 100 years ago when hardly anyone did boxing and from a handfull of countries doesn't make them great. People try to put the modern day athletes down all the time and build up the past for some unkown reason. Seriously, how many fighters from the past can beat FMJ at either 140 or 147? not many that's for sure. |

This isnt a one vs one argument. Its a who had greater careers. Besides Marciano would take LL's head off. LL had a glass jaw. |

Every great 147 would KO Floyd. This is odd I never argue against todays fighters. I will just let Marble or Dmar take this one. |
