Joel "Love Child" Julio to be on the Adamek vs Grant undercard

As he makes his way back to welterweight, Joel "Love Child" Julio (35-4, 31 KOs) will face Jamaal Davis (12-6, 6 KOs) in the co-feature of the Tomasz Adamek-Michael Grant heavyweight fight Aug. 21 (Integrated Sports PPV) at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Also appearing on the televised undercard: 2008 U.S. Olympian Sadam Ali (8-0, 4 KOs) against Lenin Arroyo (20-12-1, 4 KOs) in a welterweight bout.

wow co feature, hard time getting a card together?

I remember from the Olympics i really like Sadaam Alis style the kid could be something I am reminded of Zab a little by him

I read about Sadam Ali in ring, he sounds promising.

No need for a strong card. Adamek always draws in New Jersey.

Now that Judah is with Main Events they should use him as a co feature for Adamek cards.

Zab is scheduled to fight Oct 2. Also in Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center where Adamek always fights.

I know but if they stuck both on the same card HBO might be inclined to televise.

Adamek-Grant and Zab-Tomato Can. I doubt HBO would touch that. Would be a perfect FNF though. Their season ends later this month but they could have one of those special FNF like they did with Rigondeaux.

I think the key to Zab is to keep busy. Keep his mind on boxing. He'll get a fight vs a top 10 guy pretty soon.

Is he the NY fighter that fought on the Zab FNF card? If so, he's good but will have to grow into 140 more. Seemed to have a solid following too.

The biggest mistake Julio ever made was moving up to JMW. As a Welter, he was big, and had nearly devestating punching power. Yeah he lost to CQ, but we all know that CQ can be a tough out for anybody.

I just think he got discouraged and lazy. Good to see him moving back down, but I think it's a little too late. He's taken some serious punishment at 154...
