| Article on boxingscene and Mr. Twinkie (Dan Rafael) tweeted the same thing. Chavez Jr. vs Wolak is off. So no fights in the interim for Chavez Jr. and the fight against Miguel Cotto will be next. I believe date reported previously was December 4th. | |

| I honestly don't think a Chavez win is out of the question either. He is very close to a MW and would be fighting a man that is really a WW. He will have learned a lot from Roach(in theory). If he comes in jabbing and keeps Cotto off of him, he would win. With that being said, I would still put my money on Cotto. I just don't think Bob would put Chavez in a fight where he gets blown out and loses virtually all credibility. Bob loves to milk cash cows for all they are worth. | |

LOL I do give him a shot though, tall MW, decent pop, good jab when he uses, could be catching Cotto at the right time... | |

| Disgusting, Cotto turns down a Berto fight for this crap.
Boxing is fucked. |

| I'll give Cotto a pass. He took on Quintana, Zab, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, and Pac during a 36 month span(late 06-late 09). Thats 6 guys who were ranked in top 10 by ring at 147.
He can have his big money fight and hopefully end any hype around Chavez.

| Big money ?? HBO would pay for Cotto vs Berto, this is going to be on Top Rank ppv.
And let's be honest here for all his guts and courage Foreman wasn't a high quality opponent nor was he 100% fit, that was his confidence builder which was suppose to lead to a biggish fight. |

| It will pay Cotto at least twice as much as HBO would shell out for Berto. | |

| Cotto vs Chavez Jr will be a big draw ethnically. Puerto Rico vs. Mexico is a big thing. I think it does pretty darn good on PPV. Chavez Jr. gets paid well for Latin Fury PPVs. He is a strong draw in the Mexican community, even if he isn't a top fighter.
