| Although McTigue was awarded the decision,most unbiased observers had Siki winning the fight.There were riots occurring before the fight between local Irish factions,so a weigh-in never took place. | |

Huh, the Baer-Levinsky fight in 1934 was not a title fight. My bad. Great question! BTW, Siki travels to Dublin to fight an Irish fighter on St. Patrick's Day? That seem like a bad idea to anyone else? | |

BTW, Siki travels to Dublin to fight an Irish fighter on St. Patrick's Day? That seem like a bad idea to anyone else? Siki traveled to Dublin because it was a guaranteed payday.Siki was never paid for his win over Carpentier,and many places weren't willing to host his fights. | |
