What is with this site and people thinking Couture can still beat legit competition? Jesus, I like him too but the old man's chin is made out of paper mache at this point.

Maybe, but then he'd still be 3-3 in the UFC at 22. Not bad for a kid. He does take a lot of damage in his wins though, so I wonder how long before he transforms from young and up and coming to battleworn and old for his age.

Struve is a big time prospect in my book. Like wolf said 22 yrs old, and while he's a stick now, the kid should most defineately bulk up as time goes on. Def see him as a guy who will have to cut weight during his prime years.

And if other sports(namely basketball) is any indication athletes this tall tend to take longer to develop their skills.

Though I don't see it as great career planning to have a skinny 22 yr old kid fighting amongst veteran heavyweights in the UFC. just asking to have a short career imo.

I dont see him as a big time prospect as much as a mid level guy that will be a punching bag for top 10 guys.

I never said Randy would beat Cro Cop just that the UFC should cash in while the interest is still there.

CC beats most of those guys as long as he shows up in shape IMO. He'd AA/Dos Santos Nelson, he'd kick Mir's head off, Randy would collapse into convulsions after the first grazing blow to his bald head, Gonzaga has been stopped four times since he beat CC, Mirko would be aggressive and take him out of there quickly, and if he was able to stop Lesnar's shot he'd finish that one brutally.

Rolling Eyes

Give me a break.

Stefan Struve looked like shit, he got his ass kicked until his opponent made a horrible mistake trading punches with him in the second round. Rookie mistake, plain and simple. With all the damage he did on top in the first round there's no reason he shouldn't have taken Struve down immediately in the second.

I'm was more impressed with the loser than the winner in that fight, dude has good gNp. His mistake cost him the fight. Guarantee his trainer is ripping him a new asshole this week for trading with Struve when he clearly was dominating the fight on the ground.

Wolf, you're maybe a little too in love with CC. Destroying all of those guys the way you "think" he will is more than a reach.

First he would have to stop those shots. And even it that were to happen it's still in "doubt it" territory.

Mirko had no prayer of beating Brock, none whatsoever. Most of they guys you mentioned would beat Mirko at this point.

Nog would stand there like a stick and get decapitated. CC would murk him at this point.

Frank Mir is slow and plodding, Mirko would victimize him. That was a nice right hand on Kongo but dude isn't going to be beating any other top strikers that way. Mirko still has faster hands and would never be threatened by takedowns from Mir. Mirko would murko Miro.

Nelson loses to every fighter that fits Crocop's bill and nothing would change there. If Nelson couldn't get JDS down he isn't getting CC, a man with one of the best sprawls in history, down. The big right hand is there and Nelson could land it, but CC's beard hasn't given out on him yet and is a lot better than I expected in his bouts with JDS and Barry.

If a Brandon Vera body kick and a Nog right hand nearly finish the old man, CC by whatever he wants.

Gonzaga has been stopped four times since he beat Mirko Crocop. CC would get revenge.

CC has been unfairly left for dead here. He is on a three fight UFC win streak, for what it's worth.

Mir would eat a high kick and I'd attempted a series of YES cartwheels down a steep hill.

Randy destroys CC in a fight. CC hits hard, but he isn't the dangerous opposition he once was.

Andrew can only believe that if he doesn't believe, unlike nearly all other fans do, that Randy's chin is completely erased. I do not believe Randy can sustain any damage at all, and I wouldn't be surprised if he lost to Matt Mitrione, Brendan Shaub, Alexander Gustafsson, Phil Davis, Matt Hamill. No way in hell would Vera let him off the hook next time. CC cuts his head off.
