Devon's fight with Kotelnik reminds me alot like Berto's fight with Collazo.

Berto had to clinch to beat Urango.

Alexander lifted him off the ground with an uppercut.

Arum needs to stop bullshitting and make Cotto-Berto.

In my eyes, Cotto KO'ing Berto would make Cotto and his kids a lock for the HOF.

Never mention Berto in the same breath as Pacquiao or Mayweather

Thats why i said Arum needs to stop bullshitting. I know if he told Cotto to fight Berto, Cotto would have no problem.

Berto is a fucking joke. He's just mad that he's a belt holder in a glory division and he's still not good enough for any major star to give him the time of day. Berto blew it when he canceled the Mosely fight. I know that sounds insensitive but plenty of fighters have fought after a tragedy.

Someone tell Berto that after Cosme Rivera puts you on your ass you shouldn't expect to get many top fights.

Andre Berto blew it when he demanded 50% of the purse the second time they tried to make the fight happen. He's arrogant enough to think a star like Shane Mosley should allow him 50% just because he lost to Floyd Mayweather.

I don't know what's more ridiculous, Wyclef thinking he's qualified to run a nation of any kind. Or Berto thinking he's anything more than just an opponent for any top three guy in the three divisions he's discussed competing in.

HBO overpaying Berto is whats deluded his mind, he thinks he's a big star now even though the venue for the Quintana fight was half empty.

Which is about only a two hour drive from Berto's hometown. Pathetic.

That's actually bad on Lou's part, he should be doing his best to build up a fanbase for Berto in his home state.

But on the other hand it could have been fans being annoyed that the Mosley fight fell through.

I just don't think he's done anything spectacular enough when given the opportunity. He has fallen out of favor in recent fights, and how long can we wait until he's "ready". Look at the caliber of opponent that Devon and Bradley have faced in a shorter time span. Get this guy moving already.

Alot of promoters these days dont know how to build a fighter's fanbase up.

PWill, Dawson, Berto, etc.


Don King got close to 10k in attendance for tonight's fight. He'll get more next time devon fights in St. Louis.

Al Haymon should consider the fact that if Williams knocked out Berto he might actually have a chance of getting a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight.

Berto being overpaid by HBO is a joke. He hasn't done much. I thought Collazo beat him. He beat a 33 year old Quintana, who basically is at the end of his career.

Berto is good at running his mouth and not fighting. Other than that, I'm not impressed in the least.
