| If we are going IMMORTALS may I suggest we expand #1 so that one must have been THE MAN for an extended peiord and change #2 from 12 to say 17? | |

| so that leaves out a boxing icon who was champ for 4 years and beat a dozen ranked guys like rocky marciano for example..noo one ever is going to convince me that at 180-185 pounds hes not an imortal..we have to have fleaxabilty here..what rankings..ring..well out goes guys like langford johnson maybe attell gans or even dempsey for example since rankings came after there career was over or mostley over.. | |

Am I missing something? I don't think it does leave out the Rock. Ah you're worried about the 17, hmmmmm. As for pre-Ring ratings, we'll have to guess, but I think we can do that don't you?

| sooner i think guidelines are ok maybe but we have to leave room for a langford who never was a champ and still could be under consideration..i agree with some things marble said..a fighter who ducks 3 or more fighters is out.for example..or what frank said..a dominate guy who beat no great fighters and in a weak era..the klitckos are out for example..we all have good judgement and can present reasons yes or no before a vote..noninate guys from each 20 year period and vote one on one maybe after a disgussion..i dont know what else to say..the idea is fantastic.. | |

No you guys can start with 1900-1920 if you want. They decided to do it that way I think. |
