| Remember when he winged 100 punches a round and outanded you 3 to 1. THose days are long gone
Marquez outlanded Diaz 288 to 155 , holy shit
120-81 in jabs, 168 - 74 in power punches
Juan, take your LSAT's see what you score, and if you can become an attorney, its time to get out, cause you are on the slide at only 26, we dont need to see another Riddick Bowe.
THanks for the great fights but man its over .

| Holy shit really? I was sure Diaz would murder JMM after the first fight. I thought that JMM would be the aged fighter. Never envisioned this. | |

| Diaz made the mistake of trying to just box. Boxing is not his style. Thats why his punch output was low. | |

| Diaz wants to be a lawyer. That's my guess. He was good before getting knocked out by Marquez (fight one). Now he's picking up paychecks. Most boxers don't have other careers. I'd be surprised if I see him in a ring again. | |

| I'm an attorney. I'm tired of hearing about him becoming one. I just don't think he is very bright. I'm glad he got a college degree, but he honestly seems less intelligent than most people that get a college degree.
You don't have to be a genius to get into a law school. There are too many law schools in the United States. Passing the bar, not that difficult, depending on the state. If he becomes an attorney, great, just another person out there who probably doesn't need to be an attorney. There is a bunch of attorneys I've met in my professional career that I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to have to be represented by him or her.
Someone posted a paraphrased answer that was given by Diaz as to the arizona immigration law. It didn't come close to a coherent thought.

| Diaz used volume punching to rise in the fight game. Watching his fights he used to impose his will on other guys by making them uncomfortable and wearing them down. Against Campbell, we saw someone stand up to him. At the point which Diaz's opponents normally wilt, Nate didn't. Nate got stronger. That was the beginning of the end for Diaz.
He beat Katsidis, but not convincingly.
Marquez withstood the first 4 round onslaught, and then took him out.
malignaggi beat his ass twice. Judges in Houston screwed Paulie the first time. In the second fight, feather fisted Malignaggi even wobbled Diaz badly.
Diaz tried to box last night, but that was a waste. He fought decently in two rounds out of the first 9. Rounds 10-12 he came on somewhat, but it appeared that Marquez's age was showing.
Diaz seems burned out. He can't go out and throw 100 shots a round and overwhelm you. He isn't a great boxer. He's done as an elite/top fighter.

| It was more of a strategic choice from Juan, he tried the non stop pressure last time and it didn't work so he opted to box more smartly in the rematch, problem is Marquez is just a superior boxer. |

If he chose to educate himself while having a legitimate pro boxing career he can't be that dumb. Then again we are not all so high and mighty like yourself and would not know how gauge intelligence.

I think that you're right in terms of noting the number of lawyers we have versus how many we need. In college, all of those that lacked a passion or direction in life seemed to take safe haven in law school. That said, not many fighters have another alternative to getting their head beat off and becoming punch drunk. If he did retire from boxing and graduated from law school, I"d be proud of him. Not many attornies have an insight to boxing like him. He may be able to help other boxers out with protection from seedy promoters.

If he chose to educate himself while having a legitimate pro boxing career he can't be that dumb. Then again we are not all so high and mighty like yourself and would not know how gauge intelligence. Stop it. I know plenty of dumb people that are constantly going to the local junior college for classes. Some of them have been doing it for the last ten years because every year they find something new that is going to be their new "career". If it makes them feel better about themselves and improves them as a person, great. Good for them. But simply stating that dumb people can also go to college isn't judgmental. It's the truth. Methinks you're getting all up in arms because you think Cap'n is picking on a minority.

Methinks you're getting all up in arms because you think Cap'n is picking on a minority. Has nothing to do with being a minority. You love playing the race card don't you? I never said people that lack intelligence can't get a degree. "He" said he seems less intelligent then most people that get one. It is easy to analyze someone that is in front of media because their life is exposed. All I know for sure is he has had a legitimate boxing career at the same time as going to school. He may not be a genius, but he is for sure hard working which I would take over lazy, judgmental, hypocrites any day.
