SANCTIONING FEES

its legal bribery..floyd refused in the mosley fight to pay a 600 000 sanctioning fee to call there fight a title fight.no fee then its not a title fight.the fee is based on your guarentted money to fight and i think 600 000 is the max.heres a example to show the stupity of excess fees..lets say manny is undisputed champ at WW as an example.floyd fights him and for all the belts to be at stake the fees crowd 2 million dollars.. for what there shitty looking ugly phoney belt..if there was one commision i can see a resonable fee to pay expenses for the commision thats it..
the only belt given should be the ring which is the best looking one and its a tradition for the last 74 years..i believe the first ring belt was given to joe louis...i have 2 of the ring belts..identical replicas made from the molde from ring mag.all is the same and real except the rubies and diamonds of course..ring mag with the promotion of a company made a few belts..100 each..i have number 84 of the joe louis one....the other one i have is rocky marciano there are less then 10 in the world..the marciano family stoped ring from producing anymore..

lets get some big reform long overdue in boxing...get ride of the commisions and also the disgusting showing of theses phoney ugly belts in the ring before and after the fight.and dump the high fees of sanctioning as a start.

I have long felt that the ABC belts are used as a crutch to promote little known fighters.

Once a fighter reaches the public awareness-level of Mayweather or Wlad, the ABC org should then have to pay the fighter a fee for the broad exposure they are giving the organization.

The Ring belt (the true world championship) does not charge a sanction fee. The IBO has a flat rate sanction fee that maxes out at (I think) 15 grand regardless how high the fighters purse is.

If I were Wlad, I would drop the WBO and IBF trinkets in the trash bin where they belong and only hang on to the Ring and IBO straps as symbols of my undisputed championship.

HBO and Showtime have the power to kill the alphabet soup by not allowing any audio or visual reference to the trinkets on their broadcasts and by recognizing only Ring rankings or creating a reformed ranking system.

The promoters and the fighters themselves have enough money and the resources to do this. They won't and it's called collusion. everyone has their hands in each others pockets. They make more money off of the lesser named fighters and fighters fighting for so called records, like what Manny is doing now. Great fighters outgrow the sanctioning belts and fight for big checks and legacy. Once the fighter is established all he has to meet is the state and contractual regulations and can ignore the useless belts.

If fans and boxing writers would only recognize the ring belt then things would be so much better. Is Ring perfect? Hell no. They should have stripped Manny a while ago.

But people from the following organizations are a shitload better than the alphabet organizations:
