We need a WW tournament.

Leave out Floyd and Manny for two reasons.
1. They wouldnt join
2. They would only be left to fight each other. (might make that fight happen but I still doubt it.)

Make it an 8 fighter tournament ran by HBO. Dont do it like the super six. Just make it a one loss your out type of tournament.
Is this a good idea? What fighters would you want in the tournament?
This is my 8.
1. Berto
2. Cotto
3. PW
4. Bradley
5. Alexander
6. Judah or Angulo (if he can make the weight)
Last two bring in some Euros
7. Jackiewicz or Zaveck
8. Senchenko

I disagree. I'm not saying it is a bad idea, I just disagree. My view:
Bradley, Alexander, and Judah should all be at 140. The best weight for all three guys

Angulo can't make 147; he has struggled with 154

PW should fight Martinez and other guys at 154 and 160


Cotto and Berto would be a good fight at 147 or 154; the other guys on the list probably aren't desiring to come to the US at this point.

I see your points. I agree to an extent. I just want to see them fight someone.

There are alot of guys on there I want to see fight.


Floyd and Pac fight next May

Bradley, Alexander, Maidana, Khan-need to find out who is the man at 140. Throw Judah and ortiz into the mix and there is alot of good fights over the next 12-15 months (or more).

Berto and Cotto fight so we can find out if Berto has anything, and if Cotto has anything left.

PW to fight Martinez. Angulo to take on Cintron again.

during the course of the next year or 15 months you will see a unofficial tourney at 140..it cant be avoided.

I concur. I think FW and Pac were holding things up with their non fight. Soon, fists will start flying in the WW division.

When guys with no following or economic clout are turning down big money fights on premium cable and calling once in a lifetime opportunities and financial winfalls 'slave contracts', you know the sport is in a bad slump.
