I'm not a big fan of this fight, But Margarito has got to be considered a very live underdog given his size advantages. He needs to make it a brawl and do what Clottye didn't even try. Get close and smother the little guy. Lean on him, push him around, make it physical as hell,

Margarita belongs in jail, not a boxing ring. HBO just did a special on the "Billy Collins Jr. vs. Luis Resto" fight. Resto loaded his gloves (At the request of Panama Lewis) and ended the career of Collins Jr. Billy Jr. would later go on to take his own life. Luis Resto regrets his actions. Panama Lewis has no soul or real intelligence outside of training fighters. You would think that documentary would have an effect on boxing's actions towards fighters attacking other fighters with deadly weapons. However, Bob Arum... I've run out of insults for this thing that resembles a human being. AM will not get anything resembling a license in the US. Therefore, the fight will have to be taken to Mexico. I'm not blaming Pacquiao. It's hard enough to train to be a great fighter. That's his job. Roach and Arum are supposed to take care of the rest. Also, Pac grew up on the streets so he may think of Margaritos tactics different than the rest of us. However, if you want to unload on Pac, I won't defend him in this case.He's wrong. Whether he knows it or not is not the issue. I'm writing about your point in another thread because your original thread graduated to another subject and I didn't want to crash in on it. Margarito could still be banned here in the states. I dont see Mayweather fighting him outside of the US.

What is this fight gonna do PPV wise? 500-600K? Another reason for Floyd to ask for more than 50-50.

I hope this PPV bombs and also im hoping for all the media to bash this and Boxing, because it deserves it.

Real bad move by Arum. IF Pac does another sub 1 million buy PPV Mayweather will never agree to 50-50.

Margacheato is a criminal who likely shortened Cotto's career. He tried to circumvent his license revocation by taking a fight in Mexico. The NSAC is crazy if they give this cheat a license.

Arum is obviously mad at Rafael again for telling it like it is. He broke the news w/ Iole instead.

Boxingscene is reporting the weight being requested by Pac is 150 lbs.

On another note, this being for a WBC belt is an absolute joke. That is the belt that Martinez got stripped of, almost immediately after beating Pavlik at 160. WBC didn't even give him a chance to think about what belt he wanted (154 or 160). They stripped him very quickly. How is Margarito ranked 1 by WBC at 154. A guy getting absolutely dusted by Mosley, then looking crappy against a journeyman (in his only fight at 154 in over half a decade) vs Pacquiao who never has fought at 154. Absolute joke.

i totaly agree catain..one of the very few bigger jokes in boxing over this title fight is the WBC itself..it continues to do one comical thing after another ..lets not forget the wbc is also being awarded a 600 000 or more joke of a santioning fee which to me is like a legal bribe to the ultra corrupt commision and its greedy pocket lined president..the outcry should be directed not against this fight but the wbc and its cronies on how hey do business.this is a perfect example..

Outcry shouldn't be only against WBC, but also Top Rank (for its continued in house only practices), and the fight itself.

-This fight is not what the fans want.
- The general sports fan and diehard boxing fans want Pac vs. Mayweather. That fight isn't happening.
-This isn't even close to 2nd best. General sports fans aren't going to be excited about any fight that isn't Pac vs. Mayweather. Diehard boxing fans would prefer other matchups.

I just assume it will be why? Besides the weight class is from 148 to 154. So any fight in that range can be for the belt.

I will not watch any Pac or Flod PPV until they fight each other.
