What is the World Heavyweight Champ to do?

What is Wlad to do that he is not already doing ?

The top 3 contenders (outside of his brother) are : Povetkin, Haye, and Chagaev. Ducker Hype and Povetkin refuse to fight him, and he has already pulverized Chagaev to win the then-vacant championship of the world.

My guess is he will stay active and fight Peter and Adamek in the next 6 months.

I wouldn't mind seeing Povetkin face Chagaev in a big Russian fight, the winner to be the mandatory challenger for David Hype's fraudulent trinket. Meanwhile, all talk-no action Haye will continue to milk his trinket against Fraudley or the corpses of Holyfield, Tua, or perhaps Hasbeen Rahman.

At least that would produce a couple of somewhat compelling bouts amonsgt the second tier of world heavyweights while they collectively avoid Wlad and wait for him to age another year.

I understand that Wlad is not the most charismatic fighter around. Heck sometimes he makes Mr. Ronald Wright look interesting. But he is doing EXACTLY what we ask of fighters. He stays reasonably active, shows up in shape, will apparently fight anybody (except his brother which I understand), he fights smart and to his gifts and he wins.

Now do I think he's great? No. But it sure isn't his fault the division stinks or that 12 won't get in the ring with him.

The complaint that he ought to be more daring seems crazy to me. As if there is only one way to be a fighter, or a champion.

Adamek seems to be the guy most intent on earning a shot.

There is nothing for Wlad to do:
Nothing he can do. There is no one out there. It is Povetkin, Haye, adamek, and the Klits. Everyone else has had a darn title shot if you combine the guys Haye and the 2 Klits have beaten in the last 4 years.

hes done all you can resonably ask for..period.

Now Sauerland has reached into Haye's bag of tricks and pulled out the "slave contract" bullshit. I guess Sauerland saw how many gullible souls fell for it when Haye used it to run away, and thought "maybe I'll give that one a try".

So now a (by far)career high payday and a shot at the world championship is slavery.

A chance to participate in the biggest fight the division has to offer is slavery.

These guys are completely delusional in their sense of self worth, and I find it sickening.

He should become a professional football player.

He should find a cute girl whose maybe 4"11 and famous so he can be a part of the most awkward looking celebrity relationship in recent memory. And they should compete together on any reality show.

Geeze, I just threw up into my mouth.

I think he should just keep plugging away, screw all the critics.

Just be a tad bit more eager to get rid of his opponents and not wait for Manny to yell at him.

I think Vitali should retire now and Wlad should only fight one more year.

That 4 ft 11 girl is my cup of tea. Wlad is the man.
