This movie looks pretty good. Anybody besides me gonna go see it and what its about?

Peter Jackson directed it, so it cant be too bad.

I doubt you'll be the only one. There's some major hype starting to come together for this movie. For a low budget flick its gonna rip up the box office

It has definately caught my interrest just wanting to know what the movie is about.

They did a brilliant job with the previews for it to both hype it up, and still give the mysterious feeling of the movie that gets people interrested. Awesome job done by the people that put all that together.

"Thirty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa's District 9 as the world's nations argued over what to do with them. Now, patience over the alien situation has run out. Control over the aliens has been contracted out to Multi-National United (MNU), a private company uninterested in the aliens' welfare - they will receive tremendous profits if they can make the aliens' awesome weaponry work. So far, they have failed; activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA. The tension between the aliens and the humans comes to a head when an MNU field operative, Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley), contracts a mysterious virus that begins changing his DNA. Wikus quickly becomes the most hunted man in the world, as well as the most valuable - he is the key to unlocking the secrets of alien technology. Holy Shit this movie was awesome. The CGI, action scenes, and story were all just amazing. The main guy in this movie was an outstanding actor.

Saw it last night. Fantastic

Saw it this morning it was cool, but I'm not sure how much I liked it. It was definitely unlike any movie I've seen.

It really does look interesting. Nice to see a film set in South Africa for a change.

BTW It's not directed by Peter Jackson he only produced it Neil Blomkamp his prodigy directed it. According to PJ he's a young talented director from South Africa and he was going to direct the Halo movie before it fell apart.

Is this really a low budget flick because the previews look pretty slick to me.

dunno if it is a low budget flick or not, but it looked realistic as fuck and it was a great movie altogether.

kept you in suspense for much of the early going, slowly foreshadowing that things were about to get thick and quick. and it got really intense and shit throughout the remaining portion of the movie.

watching it tonite......cant wait to get off

yep so i watched this movie last night after hearing all the rants and good things about it and it did not let me down. It was a great move, lots of action, good acting, AWESOME MOVIE!!!!
