To this day I cannot for the life of me understand why so many on the right are even giving Palin the time of day. They should have just allowed her to disappear as quietly as Geraldine Ferraro.

As far as the mosque goes... There are a hell of a lot of people that are upset about its location. Right or wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm 3,500 miles away, so my opinion is probably a little less intense as the politicians on the left or right or those that live in the city and or lost family and friends in the attacks. As soon as the Catholics, Jehova's, Lutheran's, Mormon's, Methodists, Jews and Baptists start declaring war against our country and our way of life through cowardly attacks against us or our allies, I'm sure we'll divert our attention to someone else. I'm not saying that all Muslims are bad (Far from it)... But I don't see the Christian faithful flying planes into buildings or leaving car bombs on road sides...

BTW - IMO, build the mosque as long as it's not within a stones throw of ground zero...

People really underestimate her ability to connect with the family-values middle-class soccer mom. She really resonates within much of that demographic and while I really don't care for her or her opponents politics as they're all equally stupid, I appreciate her finally giving a voice to probably the most under-represented and unheard demographic in America.

People also disrespect and undervalue the validity of the voice she represents. The women's movement was essentially hijacked years ago by those who made it about the militant destruction of natural gender rolls, family values and fetuses. Normal, everyday family women have been kept out of most women's movements short of breastcancer rallys, bakesales and fully faithbased movements.

I'm interested to see the direction the momma grizzlys take this thing. I wish em luck. Feminazis, socialists, militant-gays, sexists, and sexists disguised as liberals will push back against them, and that unusual dynamic should lead to some interesting discussions with how women are really seen in today's society and what views from women are really respected.

Obama certainly didn't create it, and on the other end he's doing little if anything at all that's going to be effective to help it. That's not specifically what I was referring to as there's a shitload of happenings going on that are leaving the majority of America shaking their heads. I voted for the guy and have about the worst case of buyers remorse you can imagine (As should most that can see past party lines). If I knew he was this fiscally irresponsible, this prone to stupid decisions and was going to fill his staff with the biggest group of jokers since the Carter administration, I would have reluctantly voted for that moronic old fart and his nasty ass ho of a running mate instead...

LTFG for a guy who claims to know everything about everything since you've been around the block more times than most you're sure oblivious to a lot of the real life religious beliefs of much of the conservative base in this country...the base that fights these wars.
