dude has a 4 inch reach advantage and instead of trying to use his jab he negate's that advantage by going for takedown's. takedown attempts that he knew would bear no fruit. Takedown's which had no offensive purpose beside's trying to wear BJ down. That game plan was terrible. terrible performance by flo. Terrible job by his camp.

Penn was ducking under all of Florian's first punches and landing his shots very effectively.

Kenny's punches were too slow and looping, while Penn's were short, quick, powerful, and accurate. That was the difference.

I don't think I saw a jab all night. PEnn's power def bothered flo right off the bat, but instead of fending penn off with a crisp jab, he instead decided it was safer to throw nothing, and go for a takedown attempt every once in a while.

Yeah he kept his lead hand out to paw at BJ and measure for the bigger shot that never landed.

Flo lost his confidence. Just like Forrest and Rashad in their recent fights, he was scared to commit for fear of what happens when he does. When that happens to a fighter facing someone like Penn, Machida or Silva, that's a doomsday sentence. They know they can throw with impunity.

Exactly Wolf and much like with Henderson Bisping, Penn had no respect for Kenny's power and even if he landed a jab, bj could walk through it or dodge and counter with a bomb.

Shit he didnt even respect his kicks. Flo knew he was outclassed.

This was why I thought he'd win. He is a better technical striker from the outside, and as long as he avoided the dirty boxing of BJ and stayed outside with kicks and jabs, I thought he could pull it out. Obviously, Kenny didn't have that plan, and that was retarded. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the octagon ready for another run real soon.

I just never bought into the kenny hype. I don't think he will make another run. His hands are slow. His wrestling is not on par with the rest of the lw division all he has is some bjj which can be negated by the good wrestlers in the division now. Like I said before I think sherk would beat him again.
