| It's being reported in Argentina that a tentative date of August 28 has been set for the return of Marcos “El Chino” Maidana (28-1, 27KOs). He will defend his WBA interim title in Luna Park against an opponent to be determined. Maidana is hungry to get in the ring after what will be five months of inactivity by the time of the fight. Maidana has not fought due to differences with his former manager. Maidana wants to get rid of any ring rust in August and then wants to fight either WBA champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KOs), or WBO champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) before the end of the year. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=29139 |

| good, getting a tune up in is a positive step towards fighting one of the big names. Otherwise we'd hear him complaining about needing a tune up. | |

| Ya the kid needs to get in the ring ASAP! Even though I would favor Khan if they meet up, I believe Marcos needs a tune up fight! | |
